What is Over/Under in Sportsbook Markets?
An Over/Under bet is a type of wager where the sportsbook sets a predicted number for a specific statistic in a game, such as the total points scored by both teams. Bettors then wager on whether the actual number will be higher (Over) or lower (Under) than the sportsbook's set number.
For example, if a sportsbook predicts a total score of 90 points for a basketball game, and the actual final score is 100, a bet on the "Over" option would result in a win. Conversely, if the score were 80, a bet on the "Under" would win.
